Participating in a marathon has long been a goal of mine. For me, 26.2 miles represents the notion that with focused commitment, hard work and determination, anything is achievable.

At first this was a personal goal, but now I've also devoted my training and race efforts to support Pink Initiative, a non-profit close to my heart that is dedicated to breast cancer research, education and awareness. 

I hope to finish 26.2 miles and assist Pink Initiative with their efforts to help end this disease.

It seemed fitting to tackle this challenge and race during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so I will run on Sunday, October 25^th in the 32^nd Annual Cape Cod Marathon.

Fighting breast cancer and representing Pink Initiative will make every mile more meaningful.

Please support me as I strive to finish the race and raise money for Pink Initiative.  My goal is to raise $50 per mile, but please know that any contribution will be sincerely and greatly appreciated. Every dollar makes a difference!
